Michelle qualifies on the class pole in Watton’s Mallock Mk20/21, brings home two 2nd places at Oulton Park and extends lead in Championship.

After an initial shakedown at Castle Combe and a good days testing at Oulton Park the week previous, Michelle had 15 minutes to get onto the pace. Putting in a great lap at the end of the qualifying session she managed to clinch the class pole in the car that had stolen the Championship from her in 2014 by one point.
Race 1, Morris Hart made his usual flying start and got his nose up the inside approaching Old Hall, whilst Mathieu was attacking her on the other side. Forced to defend against her primary Championship rival, Hart slipped through and took the win, with Michelle struggling with overheating brakes.
Michelle was determined to go one better in the second race, but it wasn’t to be, when in the 30C heat the brake pedal started to go so long again that she could barely reach it. A few terrifying moments were enough for her to realise that she was once again going to have to settle for 2nd place.
