Michelle is crowned CSP2 Champion 2022 at the Brands Hatch Ford Power event.
Michelle Hayward’s Championship hopes could have ended in disaster, at the Brands Hatch Ford Power event in September, after a catastrophic failure of the exhaust manifold in qualifying. A formidable team effort and the fantastic welding skills of Paul Freeman, allowed Michelle to make the start grid just in time.
Hoping that the car would hold up, she was a little cautious in Race 1 and finished 2nd to Sim ace Mathieu Gauthier-Thornton. Michelle went on to win Race 2, narrowly avoiding Mathieu after his throttle cable broke, and completed another consistent weekend with a 2nd in Race 3.
Michelle is crowned CSP2 Champion 2022, her third Championship title in the series.
