Race 3

Funny how things go sometimes. It can only take something small to make a big difference in this game. It is super competitive and mistakes are punished.

I struggled finding 2nd gear too many times in Race 2 so the gremlin had been planted. But it is so tough to take when it happens at the final corner, when you’re in the lead after making a killer overtake and victory was just up the road.

Nonetheless it was a great battle with Mathieu, and so grateful he avoided me. Congratulations to Mathieu Gauthier-Thornton on your first race win. #clubmans #motorsportlife

Race 2

Great 2nd race, started P26 on the grid and finished P10. Such a great start to make some great progress through the field to catch up my class competitors. Up to 3rd, I had to pull a brave overtake on Mathieu around the outside of Corum and a lap or so later a move up the inside of turn 1 to take the class lead. Unfortunately victory was not to be, after being held up by a CSPA car Morris got the run back on me, and I had to settle for 2nd. Still a good result from the back.

Just getting ready for the final race. Some grey clouds about but so far it looks to be another dry race. #clubmans #letsdothis

Pole position for Race 1

So I broke the gear lever on lap 1, at Oggies on a downshift that left me in neutral. It literally sheared off in my hand and I had no drive and no control other than to retire

So I start from the back of the grid tomorrow, and we go again. for a better day.

On a brighter note. Had a fabulous evening with the Clubmans gang , bbq and drinks just like old times. It’s so nice to be let out again. #covid
