Michelle finishes in style on the Sunday with a double win at Croft

YESSSS. Croft you never fail to deliver. What a circuit. After having to settle for being second best on the Saturday, I was determined to get on the top step on the Sunday.

The heavy rain that was forecast never arrived but the track remained greasy and a gamble had to be taken to put on the slicks. With Morris making his usual flying start, on wets he could defend and keep me at bay as it was super slippy off line. We both narrowly avoided hitting the back of Mat when his gear linkage broke on the exit of Tower and we fought all race nose to tail. So much fun, so close, absolutely fantastic racing. Got the move done eventually through the quick Esses and then managed to pull away for the win

The last race proved a little easier in the end, the track completely dried out and I was able to hunt down Steven Chaplin in his A sport putting in quali laps to beat my old lap record. Morris got stuck in 4th gear and did an amazing job to bring his car home in 2nd but Mat had some bad luck with power failure and a DNF.

Huge thanks have to go to Barry for preparing such a fantastic car, Paul Freeman for changing the head gasket on the Friday evening, Paul and Les for their contribution and support and Phil for putting up with me during a race weekend.

2 Wins, 1 x 2nd, new lap record. I’ll take that
